Hit/Run: Jim’s Thriftway Parking Lot – Vehicle ran into and broke fire hydrant at the entrance into Jim’s. Vehicle left the scene without attempting contact. Driver was contacted at home in Scappoose and subsequently arrested for hit/run. Transported to jail.

Welfare Check / POH: Jim’s Thriftway parking lot – Called to check on adult male in the area of Banks, possible suicidal. Contacted at Jim’s Thriftway, subsequently taken into protective custody. Transported to St. V’s for POH. Found out later he had broken into the old credit union and spent the night. The current owner elected not to press charges.

Identity Theft: NW Devonmoor Avenue – Victim found that a checking account had been opened using her information in Washington. There were several attempts to purchase items using the checks via craigslist ads. No loss of money to caller.
Case suspended

Sex Offender Registration: NW Main St. – Follow-up to previous month sweep. Adult male out of compliance. Taken into custody and transported to jail.

Juvenile Problem: NW Commerce Street – Juvenile had not returned home by 7pm which was expected. Did return home prior to 11pm.

Domestic Disturbance: Chevron parking lot. Verbal argument between adult male and female. No crimes.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: NW Oak Way – Graveyard deputy patrolling through the city with an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR). It indicated that there was a possible stolen vehicle parked and unoccupied. It was confirmed stolen out of Gresham. It was towed from the scene and all appropriate parties were notified. There was no suspect information at the time.
