‘Coffee First’ coffee cart open for business near Buxton

Buxton – Looking for coffee on your drive from Timber or the Buxton area? Banks area resident Missa Maureen has just launched a coffee cart in the parking lot of the Time Out gas station at the Highway 26 and NW Fisher Road intersection.

As of this morning, Maureen, who is currently the only worker at the stand, is open for business on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The menu includes standard coffee cart fare, smoothies, breakfast items and her own line of specialty drinks, branded as “Shhh” drinks, with names like “Shhh I have no words,” and “Morning Wood,” which includes four straight shots of espresso.

Maureen has had the coffee cart for awhile, and decided to launch the stand after she finished school. “I’m the queen of mochas, so I thought, why not share that?”

This isn’t Maureens first foray into the local economy of the Banks area – in addition to owning Coffee First, she sells a line of herbal products at Jim’s Thriftway in Banks. She’s also writing a line of children’s books.

“I’m a very busy woman, with lots to share,” she says. “And I think coffee is a great place to start.”
