Police arrest man wanted for homicide in Mountaindale shooting, second suspect still at large

 

Tualatin – One of two murder suspects wanted in connection in the fatal shooting of Michael Zven Arch near Mountaindale on September 19 was arrested on September 28, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier in the day on September 28, Sheriff’s Office detectives learned that suspect Christopher Stephens, 40, of Newberg might be in the Tualatin area.

At 2:45 p.m., the interagency Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team (SWAT) took Stephens into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service in Tualatin during a traffic stop at SW Boones Ferry Road and SW Avery Street.

Stephens is now being held at the Washington County Jail without bail on murder charges.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the second murder suspect, Chad Pitcher.
